Ingredients
Shrimp (large, peeled, and deveined)
Fettuccine or linguine
Heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
Butter
Garlic (minced)
Cajun seasoning
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Shrimp: Toss shrimp in Cajun seasoning until fully coated.
- Sear the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce: Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan and additional Cajun seasoning. Whisk until smooth. Add pasta water if needed.
- Combine: Add pasta to sauce and toss to coat. Fold in shrimp. Heat for another 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.
