Ingredients
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
8 oz penne pasta
2 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Season steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak on both sides until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
3. Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Stir in Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
7. Add Parmesan and stir until melted and sauce thickens.
8. Toss in cooked pasta and mix to coat with sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
9. Slice steak and place over pasta. Drizzle juices from the steak for extra flavor.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Bring the steak to room temperature before searing for a better crust.
Don’t skip the reserved pasta water—it helps the sauce cling beautifully.
For extra heat, sprinkle in red pepper flakes while making the sauce.
