Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook penne until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden and fully done. Set aside.
  3. Sauté the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add broccoli and sauté until tender but still crisp. Set aside.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: Lower heat, melt butter, and add garlic. Sauté briefly, then add cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in parmesan and cook until thickened. Season to taste.
  5. Combine Everything: Add chicken, broccoli, and pasta to the sauce. Stir to combine. Add pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Heat together briefly and serve hot.
