Description

Cream Cheese Chicken is a flavorful and creamy skillet dish made with seared chicken breasts simmered in a rich cream cheese and garlic sauce. It’s perfect for a cozy dinner and pairs beautifully with rice, potatoes, or veggies.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Salt, pepper, and paprika (to taste)

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup chicken broth

4 oz cream cheese, softened

Chopped chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Lower heat to medium. Add more oil or butter if needed, then sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits. Add cream cheese and stir until melted into a smooth sauce.
  5. Simmer Chicken in Sauce: Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce on top, cover, and simmer on low for 5–7 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chives or parsley and serve warm.
