Ingredients

Scale

1 package of Oreo cookies

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup pancake mix

3/4 cup milk

1 egg

Oil for frying

Whipped cream or dipping sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until creamy.
  2. Spoon a layer of the cheesecake mixture around each Oreo, fully coating the cookie. Roll gently into a smooth ball. Place on a lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, and egg until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dip each frozen Oreo ball into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Carefully lower into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Fry in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Remove fried Oreos with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar while still warm and serve with whipped cream or dipping sauce for extra indulgence.
