Description
These Cinnamon Tortilla Chips are a crispy, sweet snack that’s ready in minutes. Made with simple pantry staples, they’re perfect for dipping in fruit salsa, serving at parties, or satisfying your sweet tooth with minimal effort.
Ingredients
8 flour tortillas
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter or neutral oil
1 pinch salt (optional)
Instructions
1. Cut the tortillas into triangles using a knife or pizza cutter.
2. Brush both sides of each triangle with melted butter or oil.
3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
4. Sprinkle or dredge tortilla triangles with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
5. For baking: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
6. For frying: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry chips in batches until golden. Drain on paper towels.
7. Let chips cool slightly to crisp up before serving.
Notes
Let the chips cool fully before storing to keep them crispy.
For lighter chips, use oil instead of butter and bake them.
Want a flavor twist? Try adding a pinch of nutmeg or cayenne to the cinnamon-sugar mix.
