Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2/3 cup melted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk or cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix wet into dry until just combined.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Drop spoonfuls onto the batter and swirl with a knife.
6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. While baking, make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
8. Drizzle glaze over warm cake. Let it absorb slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter—keep it light for a tender crumb.
Use room temperature ingredients for smoother blending.
