Description
This Chocolate Dump Cake is a dream for chocolate lovers. Fudgy, rich, and filled with gooey chocolate chips, it’s the ultimate no-fuss dessert. No mixers or bowls required—just layer and bake! Perfect for busy nights, unexpected guests, or anytime that chocolate craving hits.
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for topping (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth and slightly thickened.
3. Pour the pudding mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
4. Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the pudding layer. Do not stir.
5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix, covering as much surface as possible.
6. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly across the top.
7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is set and crisp.
8. Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
Be sure to drizzle butter evenly to avoid dry patches on top.
Don’t mix the layers—dump cakes bake best when ingredients are layered as-is.
You can add chopped nuts or a caramel drizzle for an extra twist.
