Description

This Chicken Noodle Casserole is the coziest dish you’ll ever bake—tender chicken, hearty egg noodles, and mixed vegetables tossed in a creamy, cheesy sauce, all topped with a buttery golden breadcrumb crust. It’s perfect for meal prep, family dinners, or whenever you need comfort on a plate.

12 oz egg noodles, cooked

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs

3 tablespoons melted butter


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook egg noodles until al dente, drain, and set aside.

3. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Stir in the mixed vegetables and shredded cheddar cheese.

5. Fold in the shredded chicken and cooked noodles. Toss to coat evenly.

6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.

7. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the top.

8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.

9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.


Notes

Don’t overcook the noodles—al dente works best since they will cook further in the oven.

For extra creaminess, add a splash of milk or heavy cream to the mixture.

You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom or a homemade white sauce.
