Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
10 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Season both sides of the sliced chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil or butter. Sear the chicken for 4–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside to rest.
3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a low simmer. Stir in parmesan and mozzarella cheese until the sauce is smooth.
6. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to coat. Use reserved pasta water to thin if needed.
7. Slice the rested chicken and place on top of the pasta.
8. Garnish with parsley and crushed red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken with Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking.
Add spinach or sautéed mushrooms to the Alfredo sauce for a veggie boost.
Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to revive the sauce without drying it out.
