Description

Cheesy Cajun Steak Pasta with Garlic Parmesan Sauce combines spicy, tender steak bites with creamy rotini pasta in a rich, garlicky parmesan sauce. It’s bold, comforting, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or indulgent weekend meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon butter (for searing)

10 oz rotini pasta

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

¼ cup reserved pasta water (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Pat the steak dry and cut it into bite-sized chunks. Season well with Cajun seasoning and let sit while prepping other ingredients.

2. Cook rotini pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain the rest, and set pasta aside.

3. In a hot skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Add steak in a single layer and sear for 3–5 minutes, turning once. Remove and set aside.

4. Lower heat to medium. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until it begins to thicken.

6. Add grated parmesan, stirring until fully melted and smooth. If sauce is too thick, stir in reserved pasta water, one tablespoon at a time.

7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.

8. Return steak to skillet and gently mix everything together. Let sit on low heat for 2 minutes to absorb flavor.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Let the steak rest a couple minutes before adding it back to the pasta to lock in juices.

Don’t overheat the cream sauce—gentle simmering prevents curdling.

Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother, creamier sauce texture.
