Description
Golden, cheesy, and crave-worthy, this Cheeseburger French Fry Bake is a comforting casserole-style twist on your favorite fast food combo. Perfect for busy weeknights, game days, or feeding a hungry crowd—it’s hearty, quick, and loaded with flavor!
Ingredients
2 pounds frozen French fries
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese (optional for extra gooeyness)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven and bake the frozen French fries on a baking sheet according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and onions are softened. Drain excess grease.
3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.
4. Transfer baked fries into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the seasoned beef mixture.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Add cheese slices if using.
6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes if desired for a golden top.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with optional burger toppings like pickles, tomatoes, or sauce.
Notes
Use crinkle-cut or waffle fries for best texture—they hold up better to the toppings.
For easy cleanup and crispier fries, bake them on parchment or a nonstick sheet.
Customize toppings just like a real burger—add chopped pickles, shredded lettuce, or burger sauce right before serving.
