Description
These Caramel Apple Slices are a fun, bite-sized take on the classic caramel apple. Tart green apple wedges are dipped in smooth, creamy caramel, drizzled with melted chocolate, and sprinkled with crunchy peanuts. A quick treat that’s perfect for parties, fall festivities, or anytime you want a sweet and tart combo that’s easy to serve and even easier to love.
Ingredients
4 green apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
11 oz soft caramels (about 40 pieces)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
1/3 cup crushed peanuts
Instructions
1. Wash and slice apples into thick wedges. Remove seeds and pat slices dry. Brush with lemon juice to prevent browning.
2. Unwrap soft caramels and combine with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Dip each apple slice halfway into the caramel and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate briefly if needed to set.
4. Melt chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Drizzle over the caramel-coated apple slices.
5. Sprinkle crushed peanuts (or other toppings) on top before the chocolate sets. Let everything cool completely. Serve chilled.
Notes
Always pat your apple slices dry to help the caramel stick better.
Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
Want variation? Try pretzels, sprinkles, or crushed cookies as toppings.
