Description
This Cake Mix Cookie Cake combines the nostalgic chewiness of a classic chocolate chip cookie with the festive fun of a cake—all made easy using a box of cake mix. Perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or anytime you need a quick crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
2 large eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
1/2 cup frosting (optional, for decorating)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix yellow cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until a thick dough forms.
3. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles (if using).
4. Press dough evenly into the prepared cake pan.
5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.
6. Let the cookie cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
7. Once cooled, decorate the edges with frosting and more sprinkles if desired. Slice and serve!
Notes
Be careful not to overbake—the center should be soft with golden edges for the best texture.
Want crispier edges? Use a metal pan instead of glass.
Skip the frosting for a more casual treat, or use tinted icing for themed celebrations.
