Description

This Cajun Garlic Butter Chicken Linguine in Creamy Parmesan Sauce is a one-pan comfort food classic with bold Cajun heat, buttery garlic chicken, and silky parmesan cream sauce clinging to every strand of linguine. Ready in under 30 minutes and perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb chicken breasts, cubed

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

8 oz linguine pasta

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Toss the cubed chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Meanwhile, cook linguine in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.

6. Add the cooked linguine and reserved pasta water to the sauce. Toss to combine.

7. Return the chicken to the pan and stir until well coated in the sauce.

8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcook the garlic—just 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant is perfect.

For extra sauciness, reserve a bit more pasta water when draining.

Taste your Cajun seasoning first—some are spicier than others.
