Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
8 fully-cooked breakfast sausage links
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water (egg wash)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk or cream (for icing)
Optional: warm maple syrup, for dipping
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 strips or rectangles.
3. Place one sausage link at the end of each strip and roll it up, placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
4. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
5. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
6. While slightly cooling, mix powdered sugar with milk to form the glaze.
