Finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, it’s perfect for brunches, holidays, or whenever you crave something sweet and simple.

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 cup fresh blueberries

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, unfold and roll out the puff pastry to remove creases.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture down the center of the pastry.
  5. Top with fresh blueberries evenly over the filling.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal edges using fingers or a fork.
  7. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden crust.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly on a wire rack.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
