Ingredients

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until gently bubbling.

2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 4–5 minutes.

4. Reduce the heat to low. Gradually whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan until melted and the sauce is smooth.

5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

6. Serve immediately over your favorite pasta and garnish with parsley if using.


Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Pre-shredded varieties don’t melt smoothly and can result in a grainy texture.

Stir continuously over low heat when adding cheese to avoid clumps or burning.

You can double the recipe for a crowd or halve it for a quick solo dinner.
