Description

Elegant and effortless, these Baked Pears with Honey & Walnuts bring together tender roasted pears, golden honey, and toasted walnuts with a touch of warm cinnamon. A wholesome dessert perfect for cozy nights or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

3 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored

3 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided into 6 pieces

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted

Optional: fresh mint, blueberries, or pomegranate seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the cores.
  3. Arrange pears cut-side up in a baking dish.
  4. Fill each hollow with a piece of butter, drizzle honey over top, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Add chopped walnuts over pears and around the dish.
  6. Cover dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  8. Let cool slightly. Spoon juices from pan over pears and serve warm or chilled. Garnish as desired.
