3 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
3 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided into 6 pieces
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
Optional: fresh mint, blueberries, or pomegranate seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the cores.
- Arrange pears cut-side up in a baking dish.
- Fill each hollow with a piece of butter, drizzle honey over top, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Add chopped walnuts over pears and around the dish.
- Cover dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Let cool slightly. Spoon juices from pan over pears and serve warm or chilled. Garnish as desired.
