Description

Golden, tender pears baked to perfection with drizzles of honey and crunchy walnuts. This dessert is effortlessly elegant, naturally sweet, and the perfect cozy treat to serve warm with ice cream or yogurt.

Ingredients

Scale

2 pears

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

½ cup fresh berries (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Cut pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the cores. Arrange cut side up in a baking dish.

3. Drizzle honey over each pear, making sure some fills the hollow centers.

4. Dot each half with a small piece of butter. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, cinnamon (if using), and a splash of lemon juice.

5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until fork-tender and caramelized. Baste with pan juices halfway through baking.

6. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with fresh berries, yogurt, or ice cream.

Notes

Choose firm pears like Bosc or Anjou to keep their shape during baking.

For a vegan version, use coconut oil instead of butter and maple syrup instead of honey.

Add a splash of white wine or a sprinkle of thyme for an elegant twist.
