Description

Baked Crab Legs in Butter Sauce is a luxurious seafood dish that’s both easy and elegant. The crab is tender and rich, enhanced by a flavorful garlic butter sauce with lemon and spices. It’s perfect for special occasions or a decadent seafood dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs king crab legs (or snow crab legs)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If crab legs are frozen, thaw completely. Cut shells slightly to expose meat.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, smoked paprika, and cayenne. Simmer 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place crab legs in a baking dish. Brush generously with butter sauce.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Baste once during baking with remaining sauce.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
