Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup milk or buttermilk
1 ½ cups finely diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for swirl)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (for swirl)
¼ cup brown sugar (streusel)
¼ cup all-purpose flour (streusel)

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
3. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for the swirl. Set aside.
4. In another small bowl, prepare the streusel topping by combining brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter. Set aside.
5. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter with granulated and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Whisk well. Stir in milk or buttermilk.
6. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture just until combined. Gently fold in diced apples.
7. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix. Add remaining batter and gently swirl with a knife.
8. Top with streusel topping.
9. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover loosely with foil if browning too fast.
10. Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Drizzle with glaze once completely cooled.
Notes
For best texture, dice apples small and evenly so they don’t sink.
Use buttermilk for extra moisture and a subtle tang.
Let the bread cool fully before glazing to avoid a runny mess.
