Description

If you’re looking for a crowd-pleasing dessert that’s no-bake, luscious, and layered with nostalgic flavor, this Amish Peanut Butter Cream Pie is it. With creamy vanilla pudding, tangy cream cheese, fluffy whipped topping, and sweet-salty peanut butter crumbles—all nestled inside a graham cracker crust—it’s one of those easy recipes that feels like a slice of comfort. Perfect for quick dessert ideas, easy dinner treats, or family food gatherings, this creamy pie fits every occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

1 graham cracker crust (9-inch)

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 package instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)

1 ½ cups milk (whole or 2%)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: additional ¼ cup peanut butter for middle layer

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup creamy peanut butter with 1 cup powdered sugar. Use a fork to blend until you get coarse crumbs. Set aside.

2. In a mixing bowl, beat 8 oz softened cream cheese until smooth.

3. Add 1 package instant vanilla pudding, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 ½ cups milk. Whisk until thick and creamy.

4. Fold in half of the whipped topping (about 4 oz) into the pudding mixture until fully combined.

5. Sprinkle some of the peanut butter crumbles into the bottom of the graham cracker crust.

6. Pour the cream filling into the crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

7. Optional: Add a drizzle or layer of ¼ cup peanut butter over the filling.

8. Spread the remaining 4 oz whipped topping over the pie evenly.

9. Sprinkle the rest of the peanut butter crumbles over the top.

10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight for best results). Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Use a handheld mixer for an ultra-smooth pudding layer.

For a more intense peanut butter flavor, warm and drizzle some peanut butter on each slice before serving.

Homemade whipped cream can be used in place of Cool Whip—just beat 1 cup heavy cream with 2 tbsp powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
