Quick to whip up with pantry staples, these bite-sized delights are dusted in powdered sugar and perfect for a sweet snack, party treat, or cozy weekend indulgence.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
nonstick spray (for air fryer basket)
powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
2. Add in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth and thick, but pourable.
3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3–5 minutes. Spray the basket with nonstick spray.
4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of batter per bite into the basket, spacing slightly apart.
5. Air fry for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and puffed.
6. Transfer to a plate and dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket—this ensures even cooking and crispy edges.
You can refrigerate the batter for up to 24 hours if prepping ahead.
For extra flavor, try adding cinnamon or folding in mini chocolate chips.
